Wigan Athletic Football Club is an English professional association football club based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. The team competes in the Championship, the second tier of the English football league system, having been promoted in the 2021-22 season. Founded in 1932, they have played at the 25,138-seat DW Stadium since 1999. Their colors are blue and white stripes, although all-blue shirts have been common throughout the club's history.
