Mamelodi Sundowns Football team is a South African professional football team headquartered in Mamelodi, Pretoria in the Gauteng province that competes in the Premier Soccer League, the country's first tier of football leagues. The team was founded in the 1970s and plays its home games at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Sundowns have won the Premier League title a record 13 times since its introduction in 1996, as well as three National Soccer League Championships and a total of 16 league titles.
