Paul review:

"Landskrona Bois was a pretty crazy experience. I was recruited there with another American, Andrew Stadler, in 2014 and it was a complete roller coaster ride. First, you are placed into a hotel for weeks, sometimes months until you find an apartment. You are helped by "player relations" office people, but overall are on your own to find your way. The year I came there was a lot of staff and administration movement. 10 games in our coach was fired, and the club was prioritizing the sell of a young player to Malmo over the success of the team. With new coaching and crazy pressure from a historically fanatical hooligan local fan group, it was difficult to get results with the team. Fans were brutal in their treatment of players in the streets, blogs, and over stepped boundaries at places like coffee shops and restaurants. There was no violence, but threats and verbal shakedowns happened here and there. An important issue that was ignored by my agent before arriving, was the unfortunately reality that there had been illegal insider betting within the team.. There was an overall sense of corruption from the inside the organization. Also the Swedish Federation took action and held meetings, suspended players, and educated us on what the fines were, there was still a lot of mystery behind players we were fielding and the general administration of the team. The club is located close to Helsingborg, Malmo, and Copenhagen, so you can have a more pleasant experience with a quick train ride and get away from a rather bleak, old city. Overall, this team was another stepping stone in my experience, and I had a lot of great memories and gratitude for the club. There were a lot of great people in the board and organization, but it is certainly not an easy place for an American player."
