The Herner TC is a sports club from Herne . It offers its members, among other things, popular sports, fencing, dance sports, aerobics, swimming, senior sports , gymnastics, volleyball and mountain biking as well as basketball. The basketball department has developed into the club's largest division: there are currently five women's teams and four men's teams as well as eleven female and five male youth teams competing in the official leagues. The number of active players is likely to be around 190.
