AFC Lightning Soccer Club is a private, not-for profit youth soccer league that has been in existence since 1984. AFC Lightning serves Fayette County, Georgia, United States. AFC Lightning Soccer Club was established in 1984. Then known as South Metro Lightning Soccer Club, Lightning eventually became a coalition between Clayton County, Peachtree City, and Fayetteville, Georgia select programs. In 2009, Peachtree City and Fayette County select programs officially merged under the name AFC Lightning. The association offers the following programs for players ages 5 through 19. They also offer a US Soccer Development program, Academy and and a USL Super Y program.
