Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Group permutations and how England can qualify for the semi-finals

What each team requires heading into the final Group A and B fixtures; watch every match from the Women’s T20 World Cup live on Sky Sports, with Australia vs Pakistan at 3pm on Friday

The Women's T20 World Cup has already delivered plenty of surprises, talking points and thrilling action - and it's all to play for in the final group games, all live on Sky Sports.

Scotland and Sri Lanka are so far the only teams to have been knocked out of the competition ahead of the final games in both five-team groups being played over the coming days - with the top two spots in each pool offering qualification to the semi-finals.Here's what each side is looking for heading into those crunch clashes, and when you can catch them all on Sky Sports. All times UK and Ireland*also live on Sky Sports Main EventSat Oct 12: Bangladesh vs South Africa (Dubai) - 3pmSun Oct 13: England vs Scotland (Sharjah) - 11am*Tues Oct 15: England vs West Indies (Dubai) - 3pm*England have put themselves in pole position to qualify for the semi-finals after winning both of their opening matches to be tied on four points with South Africa and West Indies, who are ahead on Net Run Rate but have each suffered a defeat and played one more game than Heather Knight's side.

England therefore can be assured that victory in their final two matches against Scotland (October 13) and West Indies (October 15) will see them through as group winner, while one win and one defeat could also be enough to advance as one of the top two. However, West Indies' convincing win over Bangladesh on Thursday significantly boosted their Net Run Rate, setting up a potentially thrilling clash with England on Tuesday that could see the losing side eliminated. With Bangladesh's exit all but confirmed by their loss, there is now a high chance that Net Run Rate will decide which sides advance to the knockout stages.England will therefore be under pressure to not just beat Scotland on Sunday, but win in style to bring their Net Run Rate nearer to the impressive marks West Indies and South Africa have set.England will have a clearer idea of their task after South Africa play their final group match against Bangladesh on Saturday, with the Proteas needing a strong victory to heighten their chances of progression.

If Bangladesh win, then victory against Scotland will be enough for England to qualify, while West Indies would also be well placed to progress as they already possess a better Net Run Rate than South Africa.Bangladesh could technically still advance by claiming a substantial victory over South Africa, but would then need an unlikely series of other results to got their way.Scotland are already out of the competition with three defeats from three. All times UK and Ireland*also live on Sky Sports Main EventFri Oct 11: Australia vs Pakistan (Dubai) - 3pm*Sat Oct 12: New Zealand vs Sri Lanka (Sharjah) - 11am*Sun Oct 13: India vs Australia (Sharjah) - 3pmMon Oct 14: Pakistan vs New Zealand (Dubai) - 3pm*India's shock defeat to New Zealand has left a competitive-looking Group A heading into the final four group games.Australia lead the way with two wins from two and victory against Pakistan (October 11) should be enough for them, particularly when looking at their +2 NRR advantage over the competition.

If their final match against India (October 13) is practically a dead rubber then that may suit their opponents, who likely have to win that game to qualify. If India are defeated, then they would need neither Pakistan or New Zealand to win both of their remaining games, AND then hope their currently low NRR is enough.Sri Lanka have already been eliminated.
